Balıkçı Sabahattin is an iconic independent seafood restaurant housed within a beautifully preserved Ottoman wooden mansion dating back to 1927, located in Istanbul's historic Sultanahmet district. Situated just steps from Hagia Sophia and the Blue Mosque, the venue has earned international recognition — including features in The New York Times — for its authentic atmosphere and dedication to fresh, locally sourced seafood. Its classic character, defined by high ceilings, wooden beams, traditional kilims, and ambient greenery, creates a warm and timeless setting that is both distinctive and memorable for event organizers.

The kitchen delivers authentic Turkish cuisine with in-house catering and a full in-house beverage service, ensuring guests are treated to a cohesive and carefully managed culinary experience throughout their event.

The venue offers three dedicated spaces. The Restaurant accommodates up to 58 guests and provides an intimate, character-rich interior warmed in cooler months by the glow of an in-house stove. Terrace 1 seats up to 56 guests and opens onto the quiet surrounding streetscape, while Terrace 2 offers a slightly more intimate outdoor setting for up to 52 guests — both extending the venue's charm into the open air during warmer seasons.

For production and technical requirements, the venue is equipped with high-speed internet access and sound systems, supported by ambient lighting including uplighting and color-changing LEDs. Furniture options include folding, banquet, and theatre-style chairs, round, rectangular, and cocktail tables, lounge furniture such as sofas, ottomans, and coffee tables, as well as outdoor furniture and linens for a polished presentation. Medical support is also available on-site.
