Chalet Gerard

Chalet Gerard is a boutique mountain lodge nestled in Selva di Val Gardena, surrounded by natural beauty and commanding views of the Sella Group and Sassolungo peaks. Established in 1964, its origins lie in a ski lift and a modest refreshment spot where traditional dishes and a celebrated strudel were first served. Today, managed by the founder’s daughters, the chalet preserves its heritage through authentic local cuisine that respects tradition and quality ingredients, while integrating creative evolution rooted in regional terroir. The interior features warm wool and larch wood tones, decorated with alpine wooden details and family photos, offering an intimate ambiance complemented by panoramic mountain views. Open seasonally from late May to mid-October and early December to early April, the establishment serves lunch without reservations and dinner by prior booking. The kitchen crafts traditional strudel, fresh pappardelle with game ragout and red berries, and other regional specialties. Beyond dining, guests enjoy comfortable rooms with scenic Dolomite vistas and a wellness area equipped with sauna, hot tub, and fitness facilities, fostering relaxation in a family-operated alpine setting.
