Chapter Place

Chapter Place is a hotel event venue set within the historic Pentridge precinct in Coburg, offering a range of distinctive spaces that blend heritage architecture with contemporary design. The property's character is shaped by its storied past, with bluestone walls, heritage stonework, and repurposed heritage buildings forming the backdrop for a versatile events offering.

The Reflection Garden is a tranquil outdoor garden at the heart of Pentridge, accommodating up to 300 standing or 80 guests in a boardroom setup. It suits pre-dinner gatherings, morning tea ceremonies, or meditation events.

The Chapel is a transformed heritage chapel featuring 10-metre-high ceilings, arched windows reminiscent of stained glass, and heritage stone walls. It holds up to 250 standing or 200 seated guests, making it well suited to larger ceremonies and formal events.

The Long Hall, the original south wing heritage hall reimagined, offers very high ceilings and an abundance of natural light. It accommodates up to 200 standing or 150 seated guests.

The Meri Creek Rooms combine three modern conference spaces decorated with curated local art and floor-to-ceiling glass windows. Together they hold up to 160 standing or 55 guests in a boardroom configuration. Each of the three individual rooms — Merri 1 (up to 60 boardroom), Merri 2 (up to 55 boardroom), and Merri 3 (up to 45 boardroom) — features floor-to-ceiling windows with views over Pentridge's bluestone walls.

Olivine Wine Bar is the precinct's destination wine bar, featuring a central atrium, walk-in wine cellars, and booth seating in cells that once housed historic inmates. It accommodates up to 200 standing or 110 seated guests.

North & Common is housed in the original annexe building, with a high arched roof supported by original timber beams, stone and red brick walls, and a floor-to-ceiling glass wall. It seats up to 80 guests in a boardroom arrangement.

The Alfresco Dining space offers an outdoor feel with an operable roof, central feature fireplace, and garden wall, accommodating up to 150 standing or 120 seated guests for private dinners or intimate events.

The Arrival Courtyard Garden is a smaller outdoor space for up to 80 standing or 40 seated guests, ideal for breakouts, tea breaks, or canapés.

On-site accommodation is available, and catering packages are offered across all spaces.
