Le Relais de l'Entrecôte is a family-run restaurant group established in 1959 by Paul Gineste de Saurs, who launched the original concept in Porte Maillot under the name "Le Relais de Venise-Son Entrecôte." His daughter, Marie-Paule, has upheld the founding values of pleasure and high standards, expanding the brand with Le Relais de l'Entrecôte establishments. The restaurant embodies the refinement of a genuine Parisian bistro, combining elegance and efficient service in dining rooms and classic terraces that evoke a traditionally polished brasserie atmosphere. The cuisine deliberately focuses on a unique signature formula: a green salad with walnuts, followed by an extra tender flank steak served with a famous homemade secret sauce and accompanied by house-made fries cut into sticks. This iconic dish defines the restaurant's identity, emphasizing quality and simplicity over an exhaustive menu.
