Marena Cucina

Marena Cucina is an Italian restaurant located in a historic house in São Paulo's Itaim Bibi neighborhood. Once home to Brazilian actress Cacilda Becker, the building features stone walls and large windows that open onto the Piazza Garibaldi garden, directly connected to the kitchen. The main dining room seats 130 guests, while the upstairs Sala Pietra offers a private setting for up to sixteen. The menu draws inspiration from Puglia, a region in southern Italy known for its agriculture and coastal bounty. Freshness and seasonality guide the offerings, which include house-made pastas such as Orecchiette Cima di Rapa and Tagliolini Marena with shrimp and calamari. The restaurant highlights artisanal Burrata served in five variations, alongside antipasti reflecting both field and Adriatic influences. A centerpiece salumeria presents hand-sliced cured meats like 24-month Prosciutto di Parma and Salami Spianata, complemented by cheeses including Parmigiano Reggiano and Gorgonzola Dolce. Classic desserts range from Tiramisù to a Meringatta with red fruits and white chocolate cream. The wine cellar holds 700 bottles across 140 labels selected to pair with the cuisine, and a bar offers a variety of Negroni, Spritz, and seven signature cocktails.
