Meylas

Meylas is an Emirati restaurant located in Abu Dhabi, founded by Sheikha Al Kaabi to celebrate authentic Emirati culinary heritage. The venue reflects UAE’s rich cultural legacy through its design and name, which means a gathering place, emphasizing a warm environment for families and friends. The restaurant focuses on traditional Emirati dishes prepared with fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Its menu includes shrimp cooked with traditional spices alongside rice, Bedouin vegetable stew in tomato sauce, and slow-cooked chicken Margoog enriched with local ghee. Grilled fresh fish served with white rice and local ghee also features prominently, highlighting regional flavors. Meylas offers classic Emirati flatbreads with varied toppings and desserts such as sago flavored with cardamom and saffron, plus a cold rice flour pudding called Farni.
