Poh Cheu Kitchen, established in 1985 by Neo Poh Cheu and Lim Kim Noi, originated as a mobile hawker in Boon Lay before settling in Bukit Merah in 1991. The kitchen is dedicated to crafting traditional handmade kuehs, including Ang Ku Kueh and Soon Kueh, using time-honored recipes emphasizing fresh and carefully prepared ingredients. Originally offering six classic Ang Ku Kueh flavors such as Peanut, Green Bean, and Durian, the menu now includes thirteen varieties with modern additions like Green Tea, Mango, and Coffee to appeal to younger generations. The kitchen's commitment to authenticity earned it The Michelin Plate award in 2019, alongside the Singapore Heartland Enterprise Star Award. Poh Cheu Kitchen also provides culturally significant offerings like the Baby Full Month Package, celebrating newborn milestones with auspicious symbolism.
