Sankai by Nagaya is an intimate omakase restaurant in Bebek, Istanbul, with 24 seats overlooking the Bosphorus. It merges Edo-mae sushi traditions with the refined artistry of Kaiseki cuisine, shaped through the expertise of Chef Yoshizumi Nagaya, who brings over 30 years of experience and operates multiple Michelin-starred restaurants. The space, designed by Geo-ID, evokes a sophisticated Japanese home atmosphere. Chef Hiroko Shibata specializes in traditional Edo-mae sushi and combines her knowledge from Japan with seasonal Turkish seafood. Sankai offers two seasonal tasting menus: the Sankai Sushi menu focused on sushi, and the Nagaya Signature menu featuring a Kaiseki multi-course haute cuisine experience. The restaurant emphasizes omotenashi hospitality, showcasing harmony, balance, and craftsmanship using fresh, locally sourced ingredients.
