The Lodge at The Regency Center

Located in San Francisco, The Lodge at The Regency Center is a historic venue that combines architectural grandeur with versatile event spaces. Originally built in 1909 as a Scottish Rite temple, the building showcases a blend of Gothic, Neoclassic, and Beaux-Arts styles, making it a distinctive landmark in the city. Over the years, it has served various purposes including a Masonic Temple, a dance studio, and a movie theater, before being restored to its original splendor.

The Lodge itself features arched open-beam ceilings, dark wood-paneled walls, and stained-glass windows, creating an elegant and vintage atmosphere. It includes 31 hand-painted backdrops that enhance the built-in stage and a fully functioning 1909 Austin pipe organ. Two side rooms—the Regency Room with a working fireplace and silk tapestries, and the Candidate Room with beveled mirrors and golden chandeliers—add to the venue’s ornate character. Guests can also experience the unique manually operated birdcage elevator upon arrival.

The Regency Center offers three separate venues within the building: The Lodge, The Regency Ballroom, and Social Hall SF, each with its own architectural features and capacity ranges. The entire facility can accommodate up to 2,100 guests combined, with individual spaces suitable for events such as weddings, corporate seminars, galas, and fundraisers. The venue’s cityscape views and historic charm provide a memorable setting for a wide variety of celebrations.
