La Table de l'Ours

La Table de l’Ours is the Michelin-starred gastronomic restaurant of Les Barmes de l’Ours hotel in Val-d’Isère, offering refined, generous alpine-inspired dining rooted in mountain terroirs — lakes, alpages and local producers. Its wine programme is led by Magali Delalex, Guide Michelin Sommellerie Prize 2024 winner, and its philosophy blends local sourcing, classical technique and contemporary presentation. Refined and warm, the dining room sits beneath a timber frame with stone columns sourced from Val-d’Isère and bay windows offering panoramic village views. Intimate tables beside a fireplace offer a cosier experience where the maître d’hôtel narrates each dish. A modern French gastronomic approach inspired by alpine terroirs yields generous, refined preparations of regional products and classic Savoyard ingredients. Antoine Gras joined in 2013 as a commis, became head chef in 2017, secured the Michelin star a season later and emphasises careful sauce work to elevate each product.
