Bistrot Saint-Jean

Bistrot Saint-Jean is the château's bistronomic table located within the Château Saint-Jean hotel & spa in Montluçon. The dining room was designed by a Lyon architect as part of the château's wider restoration and design programme by Jouin Manku. The bistro operates alongside the hotel's gastronomic restaurant La Chapelle and offers intimate seating for about thirty covers. A bright, bistro-chic dining room is framed by an immense glass roof with views over the park Saint-Jean; seating is informal yet refined, with places behind a handsome bar and an outdoor terrace for sunny days. The kitchen presents bistronomic cuisine that blends tradition, authenticity and modernity, with a clear focus on highlighting the finesse and richness of regional products. The menu emphasises high-quality, locally sourced ingredients and produces accessible, carefully composed bistro dishes that remain respectful of the local terroir while reflecting contemporary bistronomic techniques. La Chapelle is led by Michelin-starred chef Olivier Valade, Chef des Cuisines.
