Breizh-e-Vin

Founded in 2012 by Tristan, BREIZH-e-VIN emerged from a personal revelation during a first wine tasting and a belief that the world of wine should be accessible to everyone. Over more than a decade, the school has welcomed over 8,000 participants — from complete beginners to seasoned enthusiasts — who travel to Lorient, located between Quimper and Vannes in Morbihan, to learn the language of wine in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. Tristan's approach is educational and passionate: he guides participants through the sensory mechanisms of tasting, helps them articulate what they perceive in the glass, and connects wine to geography, winemaking, and cuisine. All sessions are held at Les Rives du Ter, a charming hotel and restaurant located right on the banks of the Ter pond on the outskirts of Lorient. The setting is truly picturesque: the restaurant tables overlook the water, a hotel terrace stretches along the pond, and the serene lakeside atmosphere creates exactly the type of friendly environment that makes learning feel enjoyable. "The Art of Tasting" is an affordable four-hour introduction priced at €83 per person, covering 7 wines with an emphasis on tasting technique and the fundamentals of food and wine pairing. "Wine Discovery" is the flagship full-day experience: eight hours, all-inclusive, with lunch and accompanying wines totaling 13 wines tasted in a comprehensive oenology program, priced at €159 per person. "Going Further" is a complementary four-hour workshop specifically designed for those already initiated, exploring 8 wines in depth for €89 per person.
