Chez Jules Le Don Juan

Chez Jules Antibes is a small group rooted in Niçoise and Provençal tradition, led by Florent, born in Nice and taught recipes and values by his grandmother, Mémé Marie. Don Juan opened in 2005 in the heart of the Vieil Antibes; in 2013 he opened the Bistrot de Jules to offer a more casual option with quick service and classic Niçoise dishes. Kitchens prioritise producers from Nice and the surrounding region, selecting suppliers for production methods and environmental respect; Chez Jules provides take-away specialities and traiteur for private events, including show-cooking and provision of staff, and is locally recognised and selected by the Michelin Guide. Don Juan sits in the old town, converted from a pizzeria into a neighbourhood restaurant; the Bistrot de Jules offers a typical, relaxed bistro décor with convivial, informal seating and a warm, familiar vibe focused on convivial dining rather than formal presentation. Cuisine is Niçoise, Provençal and Mediterranean, emphasising simple, refined preparations that showcase fresh local produce and seafood; the menu avoids overcomplicated reworkings, unnecessary sauces and fanciful emulsions and prioritises authenticity and seasonal ingredients. Specialities include Pissaladière, Pan bagnat, Gnocchi daube, Zucchini flower fritters and whole fish cooked simply and perfectly.
