Gazebo is an exclusive gastronomical venue located in a century-old Madeiran Quinta in Funchal. Founded by Chef Filipe Janeiro and Adrianne Zino, it evolved from private chef services to an intimate dining destination. The restaurant sources ingredients from the Quinta’s grounds and nearby small producers, focusing on seasonal, local, and organic produce. Sustainability is integral, with practices such as composting and the use of edible flowers. The culinary offering centers on a seasonal tasting menu spanning six to nine dishes, incorporating vegan options and regional specialties like black scabbard fish, beetroot tartare, tuna escabeche, and pork in wine and garlic. Chef Janeiro blends traditional Madeiran flavors with international influences drawn from his experience across Europe. The dining space reflects the warmth of the family-owned Quinta, featuring antique collections and an open kitchen that invites communal dining. This setting enhances the authentic, hospitable atmosphere, ideal for intimate celebrations and events of up to 30 guests. Special experiences include the Supperclub, a communal five-moment tasting menu designed to engage and surprise.
