Hen House Literacy Center

Hen House Literacy Center is a culturally rich event venue located in the Pasadena neighborhood of Los Angeles. The space has served as a backdrop for a wide range of creative events, including string quartet performances, poetry readings, web series screenings, and theatrical productions, making it a versatile destination for artistic and cultural gatherings. The Gallery Area & Spacious Stage is the venue's centerpiece — a dynamic, flexible space featuring rotating art installations on its walls. The floor plan can be adapted to suit various event formats, from intimate seated arrangements to larger standing receptions. The space accommodates up to 120 guests in theater-style seating and up to 180 guests for standing events. External catering is welcome, and guests may bring their own food and beverages, including alcohol for non-commercial use. Please note that during business hours (9 a.m.–5 p.m., Monday through Thursday), the Stage Area is not fully private, as Red Hen staff and interns may be present on site.
