IZIRide® was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: that the joy of being on the water should be accessible to everyone, regardless of age or experience. The concept was inspired when co-founder Tristan sailed for the first time on the IZIBoat, an intuitive sailboat designed by François — a vessel so easy to handle that the two decided to build a complete experience concept around it. The result is IZIRide®, a watersports company grounded in the belief that the sea is for everyone. Operating near the shores of Île de Ré, one of France's most famous Atlantic island destinations, IZIRide® offers participants the chance to sail on a catamaran and kayak in a safe, supervised environment. The setting — the sheltered waters and coastal landscape of Île de Ré — provides a spectacular backdrop for both novice sailors and experienced water enthusiasts. Briefings take place in Bois-Plage-en-Ré, where participants are prepared before heading out on the water. All activities are designed with safety and accessibility at the heart of their priorities. No prior sailing knowledge is needed, and the sessions are suitable for families with children, groups of friends, and participants of all ages. The team is attentive and offers personalized supervision so that each guest feels comfortable and confident from the very first moment. IZIRide® is guided by four core values that shape every aspect of the experience: sharing — making sailing truly accessible to all holidaymakers; human connection — genuine care for every guest, team member, and partner; joy — a steadfast commitment to fun and the spirit of holidays; and sustainability — prioritizing repair and longevity of equipment over replacement and waste. Beyond individual and group bookings, IZIRide® operates as a growing franchise network, giving entrepreneurs the opportunity to launch their own IZIRide® location with personalized support from founders Tristan and François.
