Ju — Maison de cuisine is a Michelin one‑star fine‑dining restaurant in Bonnieux in the Luberon, led by chef Julien Allano who, after 16 years as a starred chef in other houses, opened this intimate venue to tell his own culinary story. The restaurant occupies a Provençal stone building; the dining room sits beneath stone vaults and opens onto a shaded terrace on a pedestrian corner. Walnut‑and‑ceramic luminaires punctuate the room, and a young, attentive team sustains an elegant, warm and intimate atmosphere. The cooking is precise, modern, Mediterranean and seasonally driven. Allano works with small local producers, favors short supply chains and an eco‑responsible approach that guarantees traceability and respect for the Vaucluse terroir, with suggested food‑and‑wine pairings. Julien Allano trained at the hotel school in Villefranche‑de‑Rouergue, retained a star at La Mirande (2007) and won one at Clair de Plume (2015); the house received its first Michelin star in April 2025. Specialties include a Menu Confiance in four, five or six acts, an à‑la‑carte cheese selection from a 13th‑century cellar, visible open‑kitchen service with a four‑cover counter and an immersive Table du Chef counter experience, and bespoke French walnut furniture with custom ceramic tableware that reflects an authentic, handcrafted identity and a strong focus on local craft and regional memory.
