La Cacharrería

La Cacharrería is a restaurant located on the central Calle Uría in Gijón, offering a fusion cuisine that combines classic Asturian dishes with flavours inspired by Asian cuisine. After operating for eight years in Villaviciosa, the team moved to Gijón in January 2020, creating a warm and welcoming space designed for enjoying pleasant lunches and dinners. The menu features a creative mix of local seafood and meats combined with international seasonings and techniques. Among the standout dishes are sea bream ceviche with passion fruit, tuna tataki with ponzu sauce and kimchi, red tuna poke with Asian dressing, Angus tacos, Korean-style pork pibil tacos, bao with Iberian cheeks, and canelloni made with pitu caleya. Asturian specialities such as Cantabrian octopus and cider-based items are also included, highlighting regional products alongside global influences. A varied wine list complements the cuisine, offering sparkling, white, rosé, red and dessert wines, many of which are available by the glass. La Cacharrería also offers a gift voucher experience for two, which includes shared dishes, desserts, wine or beer, water, bread and coffee, making it an attractive destination for meals with couples, friends, or family.
