L'Air du Temps

L'Air du Temps is a modern French bistrot established in 2006 and relocated to a larger, newly fitted address on Rue Sainte Barbe in April 2021. Stéphanie and Cédric Gaudin run the house after training in hotel and restaurant management and working in high-quality, Michelin-referenced kitchens in Dinard and Saint-Nazaire before opening the restaurant. The team maintains more than 250 wine references with a takeaway selection at cellar prices, sells online gift vouchers usable for the restaurant or the wine shop, and the menu evolves with the seasons; the house is frequently cited in the press and listed in several guides and combines bistro-style, product-led cooking with cocotte service presented and served in Staub cocottes that encourages sharing. The restaurant occupies an elegant granite house with Art Deco touches, light wood panelling and verdant accents, offering a warm, chic and convivial atmosphere with a patio and terrace for quieter meals. Contemporary French bistro cuisine focuses on simple, sincere and current cooking built around fresh, seasonal and local produce. Stéphanie Gaudin is the chef. Specialties include cocotte of scallops with Jerusalem artichoke and creamy black garlic risotto; slow-cooked shoulder of lamb in cocotte with cumin and grenailles; cocotte of seasonal vegetables with creamy risotto; pan-seared duck breast with pleurottes and pralin vinaigrette; cocotte of cod with tuberous parsley and risotto; crispy langoustine tails with head jus, ginger and coriander; and chocolate moelleux with praliné heart and coffee ice cream.
