L'Atelier du Peintre

L'Atelier du Peintre is a gastronomic restaurant offering a modern, original and flavour-driven interpretation of French cuisine. The kitchen operates under the motto "Le Goût avant tout" and embraces culinary risk to magnify regional products without excessive embellishment. The house highlights the richness of the Alsace terroir, from vineyards to waterways, and presents menu formulas — Jeune Excellence, Saveur, Senior Expression and Prestige — to structure tasting and set-menu options. It promotes a refined, team-driven gastronomic experience. Housed in a 15th-century building in Colmar's historic centre, the dining room offers an intimate, historic setting. The team prioritises seasonality and short supply chains and actively seeks producers practising organic agriculture, with a wine list that shows the same sensitivity. Loïc Lefèbvre is chef; he trained with Christian Willer, Jacques Chibois and the Pourcel brothers, spent three years cooking in Scotland and opened L'Atelier du Peintre in March 2009.
