Mingary Castle

Mingary Castle holds three AA rosettes and showcases the West Coast of Scotland through sustainable, seasonal and locally sourced produce. The kitchen runs a daily-changing tasting experience with a signature eight-course menu and a shorter five-course set, both built to use ingredients fully through simple dishes executed with refined techniques. Fruit, vegetables and herbs come from a community garden; fish is supplied by Tobermory Fish Co and Iain Stewart’s in Fort William; cured meats from Great Glen Charcuterie; and a nearby farmer provides pork for the estate’s homemade breakfast sausages. A complementary old-and-new-world wine pairing accompanies the menus. The restaurant operates seasonally and requests advance bookings and notice of dietary requirements so its small, remote team can prepare. An intimate 20-cover dining room in the remote castle provides a quiet, focused atmosphere and refined, luxury-leaning service from a professional front-of-house team. Cuisine follows Modern British fine-dining with a farm-to-table ethos, highlighting seasonal Scottish ingredients in tasting-menu formats using precise techniques to showcase natural flavours.
