Stefenelli Desk Ristorante is housed in a carefully restored historic building from 1772 in Aosta’s old town, preserving the atmosphere of its original cellar doors opened during the Millennial Fair of Sant’Orso. The interior harmonizes wood, stone, and glass to blend antique charm with contemporary elegance. Two distinct dining rooms seat approximately forty guests: a modern bistrot-style space and an intimate room with vaulted ceilings and columns. Chef Marco Stefenelli crafts contemporary Italian cuisine that reflects a journey beginning in the Valle d’Aosta region and spanning Northern Europe and Ireland, highlighting a sophisticated balance of contrasts and harmonies. The menu showcases regional ingredients through refined techniques and creative presentations, exemplified by dishes such as sockeye red salmon with lobster and cognac sauce, herb-crusted rack of lamb, and Alpine char with mushrooms and beetroot air. An extensive wine cellar focuses on Italian labels, especially rediscovered grape varieties and innovative wines from Valle d’Aosta. Front-of-house management by Sandra Perrod ensures seamless, attentive service that connects the kitchen’s work to guests' experiences.
