Bistrot la Coulemelle is the family-run bistrot belonging to Les Maisons Marcon and forms part of the Marcon family's collection of restaurants, hotels and culinary projects. The bistrot remains rooted in that family culinary heritage and holds a Bib Gourmand distinction. It is closely linked to the nearby Michelin three‑star Restaurant Marcon and offers a more accessible dining experience rooted in the same family values. A family-style bistrot located in the village of Saint-Bonnet-le-Froid, it presents a relaxed, convivial, village-style atmosphere with close ties to the wider Marcon estate. Cuisine follows traditional French cooking that emphasises local produce and a connection to the surrounding natural plateau, with a commitment to regional sourcing and simple, honest flavours. The kitchen unites the techniques of the Marcon chefs and benefits from Jacques, who joined the business in 2004, to deliver accessible, regional dishes rooted in the natural environment. Régis Marcon is the chef; he and his wife Michèle took over the family business in 1978, and he has spent more than forty years in the kitchen.
