Maison Natale Charles de Gaulle

The Charles de Gaulle Birthplace welcomes visitors at 9 rue Princesse in Lille, in the home of his maternal grandparents, where he was born in 1890. This bourgeois house offers a glimpse of the patriotic and religious family setting of his childhood, through rooms including the salons, dining room and bedrooms. The programme includes an exhibition about the house, a temporary exhibition on light in the 19th century and guided tours scheduled in 2026. Audio guides are also available. Groups are welcomed by reservation, and the site has an auditorium, a shop and toilets.
