01 · The overspend

The same $10,000 event. A $2,590 gap.

Two invoices for the same need. Here is where the difference comes from.

Illustrative example based on averages observed by Naboo: negotiated savings (price, rebates, avoided cancellation penalties), cost avoidance (supplier onboarding) and working-capital value (payment terms). The $2,590 gap is 26% of the event budget, a weighted average across Naboo events, 80% of which are under $10,000. Results vary depending on your spend scope.

In their words

Procurement view

“Closing event supplier accounts seemed radical: one line in the policy was enough. Today, 90% of our M&E spend is under control and we save 25%.”
Head of Indirect ProcurementCAC 40 services group
“The fragmentation of MICE spend across departments makes it exceptionally difficult to get a consolidated, centralised view of this spend. Given its growing importance, with Naboo, the need to control and optimise this spend has never been more crucial.”

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do my teams need to change their habits?

Very little. Your teams keep choosing their venues and suppliers, they simply book through Naboo. Naboo handles contracting, payment and invoicing.

How is the 26% calculated?

26% is the weighted average across Naboo events, by event size: the mean, not a worst case. It combines negotiated savings, cost avoidance and working-capital value. The Overspend section shows the breakdown for a typical $10,000 event.

Is it compatible with our ERP?

Yes: one contract, one PO and one consolidated invoice in your ERP's format. No new supplier account to create.

Does the assessment commit us to anything?

No. It's free and with no commitment: you leave with the number.

Human where it matters. AI where it helps.

Our technology works behind the scenes to make every part of the process faster, more efficient and more transparent, while our dedicated teams stay right where they belong: by your side.
