1000 Satellites Der Malt is located on the former grounds of the Diamalt factory in the Munich district of Allach, a site that was once dedicated to the production of malt candies and soup seasonings. The event venue opened in 2023 and transforms the original factory halls into striking loft offices and event areas characterized by a raw industrial aesthetic – exposed structural elements, high ceilings, and the enduring character of listed buildings, including the iconic Diamalt tower and the original heating plant. The result is a 1,500 m² campus that feels both historically rooted and distinctly modern. The venue offers four different bookable spaces tailored to various group sizes and event formats. The Collaboration Space spans 109 m² with natural light and can seat up to 25 people in a boardroom configuration, 60 in a cabaret layout, or accommodate 99 standing for cocktail receptions. The Innovation Space covers 89 m² and can host up to 20 people in a boardroom style, making it well-suited for focused workshops and strategy meetings. Both rooms are furnished, with additional furniture available upon request. The entire 1,500 m² event space can also be reserved for large corporate events, conferences, or festive gatherings. Additional named rooms — Meeting Room Lohwald and Meeting Room Diamalt — provide further flexibility for breakout sessions and smaller meetings. Beyond the event and meeting rooms, the campus offers a communal kitchen, relaxation areas, private phone booths, postal services, and inviting outdoor spaces. High-speed Wi-Fi covers the entire site, and the presentation technology includes projection screens, pinboards, and whiteboards. The catering service operates on a free-choice basis with no fixed partner; a kitchen, water supply, and bookable service staff support any catering needs. The venue also follows sustainability practices such as reusable dishware and drink containers. The Allach location is just an eight-minute walk from the Allach S-Bahn station, which offers direct train connections to Munich city centre. On-site parking accommodates up to 15 vehicles, and bicycle parking is available for those arriving by bike. The surrounding neighborhood features cafés, restaurants, and green parks. Rental hours run from Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 22:00, with all-day availability on weekends, making the space suitable for daytime seminars, evening corporate parties, and weekend team retreats.
