Les Chalans Vanier

We were lucky to grow up in this beautiful region, on the family farm. Our father, Nicolas Vanier, has been deeply attached to it since his grandmother entrusted him with the management of the woods and the plains.

In fact, from a very young age, he dedicated every weekend and all his holidays to taking care of this property.

Certainly hereditary, he passed on to us this passion for Sologne and more generally for nature.

In turn, we have invited our friends, delighted to see that the charm of the place still works, regardless of the generations. It is after this reflection and thanks to the opportunity that arose to take over this farm, full of stories and memories, that we decided to embark on this new adventure.

Proud of our roots and faithful to our family history, we have restored this place that reflects the alchemy between the two facets of our lives: the attachment to this land where we grew up and the memories of our journeys in the vast spaces of Canada and Siberia that opened us up to the world and made us aware of the major current issues linking climate, nature, and biodiversity...

Vanier, our family name, is synonymous in the region with commitment and respect for the environment. Convinced that one can only protect what one knows well, we aim to showcase this beautiful Sologne: its fauna and flora, its forests, its ponds, its heathland, its villages, everything that will inspire the desire to preserve it.
