The Soap Factory

The Soap Factory is an open-air event campus located in the Logan Heights neighborhood of San Diego, California. The venue combines urban agriculture, industrial character, and a creative atmosphere shaped by artisan murals and metal sculptures, making it a distinctive setting for a wide range of events — from intimate gatherings to large-scale festivals and productions. The Garden Patio is an intimate outdoor garden space that grows herbs used in holistic soaps, lotions, and culinary applications. Developed in collaboration with the nonprofit Urban Corps, which trains students in gardening skills through Miramar College, it accommodates up to 50 seated or 80 standing guests and is well suited for cocktail parties, outdoor dining, workshops, and social gatherings. The Pavilion is a covered open-air structure with high ceilings, exposed wood beams, and string lights. It features lounge seating areas, a medium-sized stage, and an outdoor section with picnic tables. The Pavilion accommodates up to 300 seated or 600 standing guests, making it suitable for concerts, corporate events, weddings, and large gatherings. The Lot is an uncovered, paved outdoor space with potted plants and picnic tables. It can be booked as a standalone space or as an add-on to the Pavilion or Field, and accommodates up to 350 seated or 400 standing guests. It is particularly well suited for food trucks, vendor markets, and activity-based events. The Field is the largest space on the property, featuring a 40-foot-long bar and sunset views. It accommodates up to 400 seated or 1,280 standing guests and is suited to festivals, concerts, outdoor markets, and corporate events. Multiple seating configurations are available, including theater, classroom, cabaret, boardroom, and U-shaped layouts. All spaces have access to the venue's bar. Approved caterers are required for food service. On-site accommodation is available.
