Beckon

Beckon is a Michelin-starred chef’s counter restaurant in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood. It opened in 2018 as the city’s first dedicated chef’s counter. Allison Holmes directs the guest experience. The restaurant occupies a converted bungalow and presents an intimate 18-seat dining room organized around a chef’s counter. Dining is deliberately paced at the counter, dissolving the boundary between service and production and allowing cooking and plating to unfold in view. The space emphasizes proximity, quiet dialogue and direct engagement with the cooking. Cuisine draws on New American and Scandinavian influences with a focus on restraint, balance and letting natural flavors guide each dish. Ingredients are selected at their peak and treated with care. The kitchen updates offerings quarterly in tune with Colorado’s seasons and the lunar calendar and includes seasonal vegetarian and pescatarian options. Executive Chef Duncan Holmes leads the kitchen and is a James Beard Award semifinalist. Specialties include a multi-course seasonal tasting menu, seasonal vegetarian and pescatarian tasting menus, and a curated beverage program; wines by the glass and bottle, craft cocktails, beer and zero-proof options are overseen by a dedicated bar and beverage team.
