Domu opened its first location in November 2016 in Orlando’s Audubon Park District and has since expanded to multiple sites including East End Market, Dr. Phillips/Restaurant Row, and Jacksonville’s St. Johns Town Center. Domu East End Market received the MICHELIN Guide Bib Gourmand Award from 2022 through 2025, and the operation was recognized as a 2025 James Beard Award semifinalist for Best Chef: South. The concept attracted national attention with a feature on Netflix’s Somebody Feed Phil (Season 7), and gift cards are available in-store. Venues are casual, market-style and operate on a walk-in, first-come-first-serve seating policy with no reservations. Photographs and video content on the site convey a lively, neighborhood-focused environment across its locations. The kitchen emphasizes approachable dinner service and operates a daily dinner program alongside happy hour offerings. Specialties include ramen, Japanese-inspired dishes, and a weekend brunch service.
