Hartmaier's Villa

Hartmaier's Villa is a family-run restaurant housed in the historic Villa Watthalden in Ettlingen. It has welcomed guests since 1998/99 and provides catering and bespoke menus for private and corporate events with dedicated banquet proposals and package offers for groups from 20 persons. The restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide as Selected. Elegant interior rooms, including the Bel Etage and Salon Metternich, open onto terraces and Mediterranean-style gardens. The combination creates a relaxed yet refined atmosphere for dining and celebrations. The kitchen delivers seasonal, market-driven (Marktküche) cooking with international influences. It offers creative à-la-carte dishes, tasting menus and regular themed events. Menus are continuously reworked with seasonal ingredients and the team emphasizes fresh, imaginative presentations. Dennis Schneider is the head chef. He is a trained and certified Küchenmeister who worked in kitchens including Traube Tonbach and with Karlheinz Hauser and now leads the kitchen. Specialties include an Amuse-bouche menu of ten small delicacies served across six courses, truffle-themed evenings and lobster (Hummer) evenings. The restaurant presents seasonal, market-driven tasting menus and operates an extensive vinothek offering domestic and international labels with wine pairings.
