I Mori is a family-run seafood restaurant tucked away on a quiet street near the Auchan shopping center in Concesio, Italy. Chef Maurizio Massetti personally sources seafood from markets in Milan, Caorle, Marano, and Rijeka, Croatia, ensuring the highest freshness inspired by his mother’s lifelong mantra. The restaurant combines Emilia-Romagna’s renowned culinary excellence with Venetian traditions, offering a menu centered on straightforward, expertly prepared seafood dishes. The dining room accommodates 45 guests in a bright, elegant yet informal space designed as a calm retreat from nearby traffic. Maurizio leads the kitchen with a focus on natural flavors, avoiding elaborate creativity in favor of simple, refined preparations like handcrafted pasta. His wife Geva complements the experience with homemade bread and desserts, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Signature dishes include gratinated canolicchi and canestrelli, assorted seafood crudités, gnocchetti with monkfish cheeks, Catalana with lobster and scallops, as well as a rich seafood soup and grilled freshly caught fish. The wine list features around 100 bottles, highlighting Champagnes and Franciacorta chosen to enhance the seafood’s delicate flavors.
