Il Cortile holds a Michelin star (2025) in the historic heart of Mulhouse. The kitchen composes dishes as tempting variations on the central theme of Italian taste, privileging seasonal products and the inspiration of the chef. The house proposes several set menus and tasting options — Inverno, Dolce Vita and the Cortile Tartufo Nero — and offers wine harmonies to accompany the meals. Its programmes highlight seasonal sourcing and classic Italian preparations elevated to fine-dining level and a distinctive southern-Italian gourmand style. In summer the gastronomic offering is served on an exceptional verdant terrace encircled by Mulhouse’s remaining ramparts; for the rest of the year service takes place inside a carefully studied, hushed dining room with a comfortable design for diners. The cuisine is Mediterranean with a strong Italian focus: refined, seasonal dishes that reinterpret classic Italian flavours and techniques into composed tasting menus and à la carte variations. Specialties include risotto mantecato (wild garlic or pumpkin & saffron variations), tagliatelles with lobster, Tournedos Rossini, grilled scallops (Noix de Saint-Jacques grillées), gnocchis with salsa di pomodoro and smoked scamorza, and baba al limoncello.
