La Réserve Rimbaud

La Réserve Rimbaud holds one Michelin star. Sourcing is regional and collaborative, the team highlights local producers, and the venue can be privatised in part or whole for events. The restaurant occupies an old house enveloped by greenery and overlooks the river Lez in Montpellier from a sunny terrace shaded by plane trees. Interiors are refined and natural, with an intimate wine cellar used as a private table d'hôte and secluded indoor dining rooms. The cuisine is contemporary, product-led and seasonal, rooted in natural inspiration and simplicity to showcase the origin and quality of regional ingredients. Offerings include multi-course tasting menus with selected wine pairings, and menus are renewed throughout the seasons with set lunch options. Chef Charles Fontès trained with Pascal Kirsch at the Hôtel des Neiges in Courchevel and with Alain Dutournier at Le Carré des Feuillants in Paris; he favors truthful, natural products and composes dishes that play on contrasts, textures and flavours without denaturing the original ingredient. Signature offerings include a 6-course Menu Dégustation with wine pairings, a 4-course 'Au Fil du Temps' menu and a Menu Déjeuner. The wine list exceeds 300 regional references and includes a curated collection called "La Mémoire de notre Région." A private table d'hôte in the wine cellar accommodates six to twelve guests.
