La Table du Rouan

La Table du Rouan is the hotel restaurant of the family-run Hôtel la Jamagne in Gérardmer, a gastronomic outpost built on five generations of hospitality since 1905. The dining offer forms part of gastronomic packages and hotel-stay arrangements and received an Assiette MICHELIN with a two‑couverts distinction in April 2024, the inspector describing it as a reliable value with quality cooking. The menu includes homage dishes that recall the family’s history. Situated inside the Hôtel la Jamagne a few steps from Gérardmer lake and the town centre, the restaurant occupies a convivial hotel setting that incorporates a bar lounge, spa and indoor pool. The kitchen presents modern French cooking firmly anchored in Vosges regional flavours with occasional nods to other regions such as Provence; plates are frank and fresh, drawing on local produce and influences from further afield. Julien Jeanselme leads the kitchen and carries the family culinary tradition forward. Signatures include the terrine de montagne "Ernest Jeanselme" (named for an ancestor who was starred in 1936), a favoured soupe de poissons, regional Vosges specialties and modern interpretations of local dishes.
