Le 1201 - Abbaye de Villeneuve

Le 1201 is the Michelin-starred gastronomic table of the Abbaye de Villeneuve, formerly known as L’Épicurien. What makes Le 1201 unique is the pairing of gastronomy with an intimate historic setting. The house is led overall by Executive Chef and Director David Ferré, who brings 30 years of experience and a background that includes representing France at world expos and work in prestigious French houses. This refined culinary philosophy and experienced leadership underpin the restaurant’s identity and its Michelin distinction. The restaurant occupies two intimate, cosy alcove dining rooms that together seat about fifty guests, plus a private salon for around ten people, all offering views of the cloister and the pool. Le 1201 offers high-end, creative "cuisine d’auteur" aimed at discerning palates. The cuisine is contemporary and firmly rooted in the terroir, celebrating seasonal produce and local suppliers. Achour Belayel leads the kitchen as Head Chef with a focus on authenticity, refinement and the careful selection of ingredients.
