Le Cèdre

Le Cèdre is a family-run Lebanese bistronomy restaurant in Nice that opened in 2016 and invites discovery of Lebanese specialities in a refined setting. The house emphasises sharing, generosity and a balance between tradition and contemporary presentation. It was introduced to the Michelin selection in 2025, earned distinctions from Maîtres Restaurateurs and participated in gastronomic events. The dining room is warm and elegant, blending oriental-inspired décor with modern comforts; dimmed lighting, noble materials and artisanal touches create a convivial yet refined atmosphere suitable for romantic dinners, family meals or evenings with friends. Cuisine is Lebanese bistronomy: authentic recipes and mezze with contemporary presentation, centred on convivial sharing and a selection of Lebanese wines. Menus focus on shared cold and hot mezzes, mini-grills and Mediterranean flavours; vegetarian options and set menus showcase mixed grills and traditional desserts. The restaurant is led by chef Jean Haidar, who previously opened Le Beyrouth in Strasbourg and was inducted into culinary orders; he opened Le Cèdre on the Côte d'Azur with his son Anthony, a hotel-school graduate. Specialties include assorted cold and hot mezze, Baba Ghanouch (eggplant caviar), Hommos (chickpea purée), Labneh, Kafta (beef skewer) and Chichtaouk (lemon chicken skewer).
