Les Gueules Noires

Les Gueules Noires is a troglodytic restaurant set in the heart of the vines of the Vallée Coquette in Vouvray, run by Catherine and David. Catherine has selected around a hundred wine references, from Alsace to the Roussillon, with a strong representation of Loire wines chosen for respect of the vineyard and natural vinification. The restaurant offers a three-course meal (starter, main, dessert) typically costing between €50 and €60 per person excluding drinks and is recognised by the Michelin Guide (Selected). A shaded terrace faces the vineyards in fine weather, while an intimate dining room centres on a fireplace in winter, offering a cozy, rustic atmosphere. The kitchen follows a market-driven, seasonal philosophy: David continually renews the carte according to market produce and the seasons and cooks exclusively with fresh products. Preparations focus on regional and traditional French cooking.
