Mare is an intimate restaurant in Cádiz, Spain, featuring minimalist décor in white and blue tones that evoke the nearby sea. Chef Juan Viu, born in Barbate in 1994 and trained at Escuela Superior de Hostelería de Sevilla, draws from his family bakery roots and professional experience in notable Spanish kitchens. Mare’s cuisine honors Cádiz's maritime heritage by combining traditional seafood stews with modern techniques, using fresh, seasonal ingredients sourced locally from fish markets and small producers committed to sustainability.
