Moonflower

Moonflower is a neighborhood cocktail bar situated on Milwaukee Avenue in Chicago's Portage Park neighborhood. The venue is characterized by exposed brick walls, tall black tables and chairs, large windows, and natural light, creating a warm yet stylish atmosphere suited to a range of social and private events. The in-house kitchen, Funeral Potatoes, serves modern Midwestern comfort food alongside a curated cocktail menu. An Events Director is available to assist with planning. The main bar space, Moonflower, accommodates up to 70 guests standing or up to 50 seated. Available for whole-venue hire, it is well suited to cocktail receptions, private dining, and celebrations. Guests can enjoy a curated playlist blending Neo Soul, Jazz, and Hip Hop, and the space supports playing your own music or bringing your own DJ. Downstairs, Nightshade is a private cocktail lounge with a more intimate feel, featuring soft lighting, teal banquette seating, and framed wall art. It accommodates up to 60 guests standing or up to 40 seated, and is well suited to smaller private events, special occasions, and semi-private gatherings. Both spaces are available for private hire, and add-on services include a photobooth, custom cocktails, and DJ booking. The venue holds an alcohol licence until 2:00 am and offers customizable bar packages. In-house catering is available, and external catering is also permitted.
