Osmose

Osmose is a modern gastronomic restaurant in Armentières’ historic centre, offering a refined, accessible tasting experience centred on harmony and balance. It holds distinctions (Michelin 2025; Gault & Millau 2026) and sits at foot of the UNESCO‑listed belfry in Hauts‑de‑France. The dining room is elegant, cosy and deliberately understated, with pared‑back decor and refined furniture designed to put the focus on the plates. Service is warm and fluid, suitable for intimate meals, family gatherings or friends. The cuisine is contemporary — audacious yet sincere — drawing on simple, seasonal, high‑quality products and unexpected flavour associations, and aims to sublimate those ingredients with precision and creativity; the team sources mostly from selected French producers to prioritise freshness. Baptiste Avetand (Chef) co‑founded and runs Osmose with Florine Dewulf; he trained at Bistrot RG and at Michelin‑recognised Nature, progressing from commis to executive chef and director, and channels those experiences into generous, boldly flavoured dishes inspired by family memories and modern touches.
