Phaedra is a Mediterranean restaurant in Cologne that celebrates the cuisines and wine cultures of the Mare Mediterraneum. The Michelin Guide lists Phaedra as Selected (Mediterranean). A strong wine focus complements the food, and the restaurant uses a by-the-glass Argon preservation system to offer high-quality wines by the glass for extended periods. The kitchen practices Mediterranean cooking with cross-regional influences from across the Mediterranean basin. Its philosophy emphasizes seasonal, market-driven dishes and homemade preparations. The menu is deliberately small, changes daily according to season and market availability, and centers on fresh, daily cooking with regional sourcing and a compact, rotating selection. Where possible the team works with regional farmers and trusted partners, and no industrial convenience products are used. Konstantin Tzikas is chef and owner. He trained with Franz Keller in the Adler-Wirtschaft and brings German precision to Mediterranean cooking. Specialties include a 4‑course tasting menu, a vegetarian 4‑course menu, and Mediterranean tasting plates inspired by Greece, Italy, Spain and southern France. The extensive wine list mixes Greek and German selections, and the kitchen produces housemade sauces, ice cream and pastries.
