The team prioritizes short supply chains and works exclusively with producers they know personally. Two chefs who trained together reunite to create the project and run the restaurant. Primitif appears in press and guide networks, including the Michelin Guide and mentions such as Gault & Millau, and it is a member of the Table de Terroir network. It sits in a picturesque village at the heart of the Croix-Scaille forest massif in the Ardennes, offering a magical, nature-oriented ambiance. The location makes it a natural base for hikers and nature lovers. The kitchen emphasizes fresh, local and seasonal ingredients, with a menu renewed on average every four to five weeks to highlight current harvests.
