Restaurant Coquo

Restaurant Coquo is an intimate, product-driven restaurant in Bierwart that invites guests to "a moment for yourself" in a warm, cosy setting. The founder signs messages as "Coco", having trained at the École Hôtelière Provinciale de Namur and worked for eight years with Chef Pierre Résimont, where they learned professional technique and a respect for flavour and ingredients. Service presents a choice of three starters, three mains and three desserts, complemented by aged cheeses prepared by Pascal Fauville of Fromagerie La Table in Hannut. The venue operates a weekday lunch formula and several prix-fixe menus; the à la carte is unavailable in the evening. The restaurant is recognised in guides and press and displays Michelin selection material and press references, offering a familial yet refined experience. The small dining room is softly lit and warmly welcoming; in good weather guests are received in a pleasant garden. The space evolved from a family kitchen into a cosy restaurant with an understated, gourmand feel. The kitchen practices contemporary French cooking with a clear seasonal focus: the menu changes continuously according to daily arrivals and fresh, seasonal suppliers, and the team concentrates on set menus tailored to those arrivals. Specialities include terrine of foie gras with chestnut cream; croquette of veal tongue with céleri rémoulade; roasted turbot with Jerusalem artichoke cream; filet of yellow chicken with hazelnut ravioli; confit lamb breast with glazed turnips; and soufflé à la Chartreuse verte.
