Restaurant Robuust stands near the Flanders Field American Cemetery in Waregem. It opened on 8 May 2017 after an intensive year of renovation. Hosts Caren and Charlotte welcome guests while Isabelle and her team run the kitchen daily; the house displays recognition from Michelin and Gault & Millau and places enjoyment at the centre of its culinary experience. The dining room is warm and light-filled. A beautiful garden and a spacious parking area complete an inviting, comfortable setting. Robuust presents modern French cuisine with a menu that mixes sharing plates, a la carte starters and mains and seafood-focused dishes. The team places particular emphasis on a tasteful daily lunch moment and sources a selection of oysters from their oesterman. Specialties include Kreeft à la nage (lobster à la nage), Huisgemaakte garnaalkroket (homemade shrimp croquette), Gelakt buikspek (lacquered pork belly), Slibtong with comté crust, Rund filet pur (beef filet) and Lamsbout (lamb shank).
