Rouge

Rouge is a wine-bar and contemporary restaurant in Nice selected by the Michelin Guide. It sits in the antiques district, overlooking Port Lympia and facing Mont Boron. The beverage program centers on an extensive refrigerated, glass-fronted wine cabinet that holds several hundred bottles, and guests may choose a bottle or order wine by the glass. The house combines a festive, convivial atmosphere with a seasonal, producer-driven approach to food and wine. The setting is joyful, festive and sociable, with seating along a large counter, tables and a terrace laid out along the old fortress of the Château. Layout and service encourage meetings and aperitifs between friends. The kitchen focuses on modern, seasonal cooking made from fresh, healthy ingredients. The menu is composed of hors-d'œuvre that are true cooked dishes presented as mini-portions to enjoy individually or to share.
