Schlossanger Alp

SCHLOSSANGER ALP is a family-run mountain hotel and restaurant on the Allgäu Alp in Pfronten. It presents a hospitality concept rooted in nature, simplicity and genuine experiences and offers 20 rooms, 15 suites and nearby Allgäu‑Lofts Berg und Tal. The new ALP SPA, opened April 2025, features an infinity pool, multiple saunas, a nature bathing lake and extensive treatment facilities; the house is regularly rated among Germany’s best 300 restaurants, SELECTED in the Michelin Guide and listed in the Relax Guide SPA 2024. Interiors mix traditional Alpine charm with modern, light design, natural materials and varied room colour schemes. Public areas include a renovated winter garden and a 75‑year‑old Zirbenstube; seating is comfortable and the vibe is calm, genuine and rooted in nature. The cooking is regional and modern with a restrained, product‑driven "schnörkellose" philosophy that favours clear flavours, minimal components and respect for the ingredient, emphasising seasonality and regional produce. Since March head chef Bastian Ebert leads the kitchen alongside Barbara Schlachter‑Ebert to shape the Schlossanger culinary style. Specialities include Bärbel’s ricotta dumplings with zander in bacon, a four‑course Schlossanger evening menu and a flexible two‑ or three‑course lunchtime menu of product‑focused regional dishes.
