Tandem

Tandem is a restaurant and épicerie tucked into the historic centre of Cahors at the corner of rue Nationale and Place Claude Rousseau, where Tanguy and Lisa welcome guests. The épicerie sells tomato sauces, prepared dishes and spreads made onsite from products sourced from small local farms, many certified organic. The dining room is cosy and warm, with a friendly, convivial vibe for relaxed meals with friends or family. The kitchen serves modern, convivial cooking inspired by the owners' experiences and travels, with a menu philosophy rooted in seasonality, fresh local ingredients and meats of French origin. The daily selection is concise: three starters, three mains and three desserts, plus a lunchtime fixed-price formula; vegetarian options are available at midday and in the evening. Specialties include trout with almonds and preserved lemon; carpaccio with turnip and Lard of Colonnata; beetroot with horseradish and walnuts; pork rack with kuri squash and thyme; meagre with polenta and coriander; perfect egg with spinach and shiitake.
