Toc al Mar stands on the sandy shore of a picturesque Costa Brava cove, delivering an authentic Mediterranean dining experience rooted in its connection to the sea and local traditions. Founded in 2011 by Santi Colominas, Sandra Baliarda, and Ruel Rodeles, the restaurant centers on a philosophy of good people, good products, and a good grill, ensuring every guest feels at home. The oak wood grill acts as the heart of the kitchen, where wild fish and shellfish—sourced daily from local fishermen—are cooked over oak embers to infuse a distinctive smoky flavor. Menu highlights include sea bream, sea bass, red lobsters from Begur’s Cape, Palamós shrimp, and hake kokotxas, all grilled fresh to order. Seafood rice plays a starring role with dishes such as lobster broth rice, rice with artichokes and cuttlefish, sea urchin and prawn rice, Empordà dark rice, and a distinctive square paella, each finished in a wood-fired oak oven.
