Villa Hammerschmiede is a restored Gründerzeit villa built in 1893, converted into a hotel and restaurant set in a picturesque, majestic park. Owner Norbert Schwalbe preserved the villa, long owned by the Krupp company, and devised a hospitality concept that emphasises family atmosphere and privacy. The team aims for high guest satisfaction with a price/performance balance and staff who take pleasure in their work. The property includes a wellness area and event spaces. It hosts conferences, private celebrations, weddings and a kitchen festival, and publishes event calendars and packaged arrangements for guests. Intimate dining rooms—the Guten Stuben—and an English pavilion, where the same menu is offered throughout, provide distinct dining settings. Guest rooms display Italian design elements. The Kamin-Suite includes a fireplace. The restaurant serves classic, regional cuisine across its dining rooms for hotel, restaurant and day visitors.
